2006 CONTEST RULES

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

 

1.             How to Enter the Contest:

a.       The ?Bob Rivers Show iMac Giveaway 2006? contest will begin on Tuesday, June 13th, 2006 at approximately 6am Pacific Time (?PT?) and end on Friday, July 7th, 2006 at approximately 10am PT.

b.      To participate in the contest, tune into The Bob Rivers Show from 5am-10am PT on KZOK-FM in Seattle or KVMX-FM in Portland during the specified dates of the contest.  A video clip from The Bob Rivers Show will be posted on www.bobrivers.com  starting Tuesday, June 13th, 2006 at 6am PT. The video clip that will be available online will feature Bob Rivers giving a secret password.  Each following Fridays (6/16, 6/23, 6/30 and 7/7) Bob will give listeners the cue to call between the hours of 7am and 10am.  The 10th caller with the secret password from the video clip will win a 17? iMac Computer, upon confirmation of eligibility.  There will be four (4) winners selected this way.  Each 10th caller will be required to provide his or her first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number and date of birth when he or she calls.  KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions, or any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his or her call or watching the video clip online.

 

c.       There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to call-in and win, but a listener may win only once during this contest.

2.            Eligibility Restrictions:

a.       The contest is open to all KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM listeners who are 18 years of age or older, reside in the state of Washington or in the state of Oregon and are legal US residents.  Employees of KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM, their licensee, CBS Radio, its parent corporation, subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Seattle metropolitan area or Portland metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.

 

b.      Listeners and anyone in their immediate family/household are eligible to win a KZOK-FM or KVMX-FM contest only once every thirty (30) days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months.  Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any contest.

3.            Prizes:

a.       All prizes will be awarded upon confirmation of eligibility.  There will be a total of four (4) prizes awarded to four (4) different winners. One (1) prize will be awarded on each of the following dates in 2006 ? 6/16, 6/23, 6/30 and 7/7 during the contest period for a total of four (4) 17? iMac Computers to be awarded by the end of the promotion.  Approximate Retail Value (?ARV?) of each 17? iMac Computer is $1,299.00

 

b.      All prizes may be picked up at the office of KZOK-FM at 1000 Dexter Avenue North, Suite 100 Seattle, WA 98109 or KVMX-FM at 2040 SW First Ave., Portland, OR 97201. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is requested by the winner to be mailed, the winner assumes the risk of its loss.  KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM are not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

c.       There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes except that sponsor may at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of equivalent value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities, or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

d.      KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM are not responsible for the replacement of any lost certificates or prizes.

 

4.            Selection of Winners:

a.          Decisions of KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM station management with respect to the contest are final.

b.         Four (4) winners will be selected as described in Section 1(b) of these rules.

c.          Odds of winning depend upon the order and number of eligible calls received.

d.         Winners need to listen to win.  Winners will be required to come to the KZOK-FM or the KVMX-FM offices to complete a W-9 and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form.  If any of the winners has not completed the required paperwork within thirty (30) days after notification attempt, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will not be selected.

 

5.  Conditions:

a.       Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b.      By participating in the contest, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if any) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.

c.       Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM in their sole discretion may require contest winners (and their guests or travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release agreeing to hold KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM, their corporate licensee, CBS Radio, its corporate parent, subsidiaries and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

d.      KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.

e.       Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, solely at the discretion of KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM.

f.        KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of the prize.

g.       Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of KZOK-FM and KVMX-FM or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to 1000 Dexter Avenue North, Suite 100, Seattle, WA  98109 or KVMX-FM at 2040 SW First Ave., Portland, OR 97201.
