Arik Korman, Director of the Bob Rivers Show
since January 2002, has worked with such legendary
Seattle broadcasters as Jim French, Dave Ross, Bill
Yeend, Wayne Cody and Robert Hardwick. Arik was born in
Redondo Beach, California and attended the University of
California, San Diego. Arik moved to Seattle in 1988. In
1992, he married his wife Monique and in 1995, Arik and
Monique spent nearly 8 months backpacking through Asia
and visited Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam,
Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia. Interests include
travel, hiking, aviation, downhill and cross-country
skiing, tennis, golf, gardening, speaking foreign
languages, swimming and snorkeling. Arik received the
2001 Visionary Award from Sabo Media, a high-profile New
York media consulting firm. His work with World Vision
to sponsor more than 1500 children in Ethiopia and the
Dominican Republic and build a school in Ethiopia has
been the highlight of his radio career, resulting in a
2007 Puget Sound Radio Broadcasters Association Soundie
Award.
