Mike Jones is Executive Producer of The Bob Rivers Show. A veteran of close to 20 years in Seattle radio, Mike has divided his time between KZOK and KISW, where he served as music director during the heyday of the Seattle music scene, helping promote local bands to worldwide prominence. On his ground-breaking variety show "Live from the Stratocaster Lounge," Mike interviewed hundreds of the top acts in rock who often gave rare, intimate live performances. Now he gets the guests for The Bob Rivers Show, where Bob, Spike & Joe put their unique twist on current events and popular culture. Mike lives in Tacoma with his wife Jocelyn, her 4-year-old son Jason, and their baby daughter, Olivia Noelle Jones. In his spare time Mike helps raise Thoroughbred horses on a farm in Kent.

Spike and Joe are both having slight issues with their daughters, and just how honest they should be, especially in situations where it could hurt their feelings. Listen to the audio segment on our site about it, then tell us what YOU think: Should we be honest with our kids, or are there situations that necessitate a gentler approach that may involve lying?
It's our JOB to lie to our kids! It's a violent, unfair world out there, and they have the rest of their lives for hurt and disappointment. As parents, the least we can do is protect them from even the tiniest of disappointments!
Honesty is always the best policy! Lie to them now and they'll grow up thinking the world revolves around fairness and THEM. Don't baby them now- cause you'll have a hell of a teenager to deal with, and society has to deal with them as adults.
